Down with HFMD
Just paid a visit to my fave Dr Chee and guess what, he diagnosed that I am down with that dreadful Hand-Foot-Mouth Disease. Darn!!! I came down with a high fever on Thur nite after school and Momi quarantined me at home on Fri. Little red dots developed on my legs, palms and soles in mid afternoon and turned into blisters in the late afternoon. Momi at first suspected some form of allergy, but the moment the blisters started to pop up, she kinda confirmed it was HFMD.
A visit to Dr Chee this afternoon confirmed that it was HFMD and Dr prescribed me anti-viral medication and anti-bacterial mouth spray to stop the development of more blisters. Oh dear, it was shucky to hear that I would not be able to attend school for one week leh...
Momi decided that we should move over to Nai Nai's house for one week so that she could look after me. Well, at least I could spend some time with my Nai Nai. I hope the blisters would pop up anymore cos they are very very itchy *Scratch scratch*

My Very First Play - BABY LOVE
I went for the play with Momi, as well as Auntie Hui San and Lucas Gor-gor. There were 2 new friends - Nathaniel and Edna, as well as their parents.
My verdict on the play? Well, check out the expressions on our faces!!! Full of anticipation!!! Sure must be good and entertaining lah. Sorry, folks. No pictures of the play to show cos photography is strictly prohibited in the theatre. Anyway, trust me. It was good. At least, I stayed in my seat for the 45 mins and I was very tickled at the first half of the show. However, when the rivalry worsen between Harry and Myra, it made me a little uncomfortable to see them fighting each other over the toys and personal items.... I guess Momi does have her agenda for bringing me to the play. :p
For the price ($18 per pax for 45 mins play), Momi said it was still quite worth it. Hi-5 show? Nah, I can forget it cos Momi thinks the cheapest ticket of $38 is way too much. At least the play is something arty-farty (so she says). That means I am more likely to watch plays and musicals than Hi-5 shows or Sesame Street shows, unless they are free performances in the shopping malls. :)

Why are we waiting? Why are we waiting?? Let's bring on the music and the cake!!! Yipee!!!
Ermmm... why so long huh????
Shameer and I focusing our attention on the big birthday cake. Hmmm, four big candles and 2 small candles. Singapore's 42nd birthday.
Anyone looking? If not, I can pinch the cake liao!!! Muahahaha!!!
While everyone posed for the picture in a stone-stone manner... Atticus and I were busily burrowing our fingers at the cake, until Ms Chng screamed at us from the side cos she saw our little tricks. Shucks, man!!!
Happy Birthday, Singapore!!!

Sing Bubble Song????
Haha!!! U got it?? Yah lah. This "Sing Bubble" song is actually those National Day songs which school has been playing to us every day. I even know how to rap "SIN-GAP-ORE! SIN-GAP-ORE! Yeh.... Singapore!!!!". Pai-seh pai-seh!!! Just that I couldn't quite pronounced Singapore properly initially and I ended created confusion for Momi cos she thought I was referring to a chinese kiddy song on blowing bubbles. Yeah, Momi sang that to me and I told her "Dah!!! No No!!!".
Yes, with National Day approaching, we are all drumming up for a big celebration which includes the singing of these Singapore songs. Whoa!!! I'm getting excited as ND approaches. :)

Another Milestone on 1 August!!!
Momi made a bold decision this morning. She decided to take me off the diaper totally. Of course, before she did this, she had been prepping me to inform the adults before I take a leak or do a poo. I must "JIANG!!!" (i.e. tell) if I want to use the bathroom. If I do not tell, I would be a "GON GON" baby. If I tell and hold out until I make it to the bathroom, I would be a "CLEVER" baby. "CLEVER" is a lot better-sounding than "GON GON", so I try my best to sound the alarm before I simply let go.
Well, I certainly did not disappoint Momi cos I made my morning trip to school safely in dry pants. Momi informed my teachers and they continued by keeping me off the diapers for the rest of the day until my afternoon nap. When Momi picked me up in the evening, she made me go to the bathroom first before we made the trip back home without the diapers again.
All's well so far and Momi was quite proud of me. She was updating my progress to Nai Nai over the phone before my bedtime. Hee hee! Honestly speaking, I am quite proud of myself too. I am a big boy now. :)
My Sugar Babe
Hee hee!!! Esher is so sweet, so I must call her "Sugar". Yah, my sugar babe. From now on, I will call her "sugar" everyday. Momi tried to make me call her "Sugar" but I refused to. :p

NDP & SONIC BOOM!!!!
School has been playing the National Day songs to us every morning. I could sing along to "Singapura", "Stand up for Singapore" and "One People, One Nation, One Singapore". Oh boy!!! How I wish Dadi could have tickets for the actual day NDP celebration!!!
Momi actually managed to ballot successfully for one ticket for the NDP preview for today and Sharon Jie-Jie was supposed to let her have her ticket too so that we could all go for the NDP... Alas, but Dadi's leg is hurting again and I was having a diarrheao and tummyache. Tickets ended up with Auntie Nicole, but she din go either due to the bad weather?!!! So wasted man!!! I was thinking of asking her for the NDP fun pack some more.... tsk tsk tsk...
Anyway, when the fighter jets flew past Sengkang on their way to the parade area, they created such a loud noise that it startled me so much. For a split second, I was lost and did not know which direction to seek refuge. Momi was right behind in the kitchen, but I decided to run for the living room instead after pivoting to 3-4 directions on the spot. Haha!!! So pai-seh!!! I was displaying my instinctive behavior. Dadi told me that the fighter jets were responsible for making that loud sound which he called "SONIC BOOM"!!! Cool!!! I like that. I am not scared of the fighter jets anymore. I hope Dadi could get his hands on the actual NDP tickets so that I could have a better view of jets flying over our heads and creating that "SONIC BOOM" and the helicopter bearing the giantic Singapore flag!!!
Stand Up for Singapore!!!

Lynn-Gator
Of course I was mad lah!!! Lynn has been going around irritating everyone in the class. She would not share the toys and in fact, snatches from the rest of us. If she gets mad, she would either pinch or bite us. Since she joined the class more than a month ago, she has pinched almost everyone of us and bitten Lucas-Gor Gor, Esher, Atticus, Choelle and now, me!!!
I have been telling Momi that Lynn pinched me and I don't like her but she kept telling me to make friends with her. When Momi came down to pick me up in the evening, Ms Shi and Ms Chng told her that I kena bitten cos I "disturbed" her. Momi saw the 2 sets of teeth marks and were puzzled how come the school allowed it to happen. Anyway, I sort of complained to Momi by whining and pointing to the bites. When Lynn was pointed out as the culprit, it made me boiled again and I went up to shoved her in the stomach. Momi quickly stopped me and chided me for my action. But hor, she bit me first leh!!! :(
Momi made me apologised to Lynn which I simply refused. I went around the music room, saying "Sorry" to the chair, Lucas Gor-Gor, the teachers and the wall, but not Lynn... Momi was not pleased with my behaviour and put me in front of Lynn to say "Sorry". Sorry sorry lor, but I will make sure Lynn has no chance to take another chomp at me.
(Momi: Ms Chng feedback to me the next day that Ramerez refused to sleep next to Lynn during nap time).

My Flashy New Bike
My cool bike inherited a bell from Dadi's old bike as he is too busy and too fat to go cycling nowadays. His old bike has retired to our bomb shelter-cum-storeroom. I hope my bike would not fall into the same fate. It is currently parked in the spare white room where I would occasionally bring it downstairs for a ride.
Haha!!! I can't quite pedal the bike yet. When I say "ride", I mean with Momi or Dadi pulling the bike along lah. I simply sat there and look shiok shiok lor. Yah lor, dun need to pedal at all and the bike would transport me to the playground downstairs. :p

Play Pretend

One week's quarantine at home...
The past one week was also a trying period for me and Momi cos we started on an intensive potty-training program. Momi put me on underwear for a good half of the day. Well, I have not quite figured out how to pee like a big boy and preferred to sit on the baby toilet seat. Of course, Momi had to entice me to do my business in the toilet with activities like playing around with soap and the toilet flush.
Oh, my poor old-fashioned blue potty can go for early retirement liao cos I absolutely hate to use it. In fact, I have no output when I sat on it. :p When Momi was not around to put me on the toilet-bowl, I would quietly let go and wet my pants and made such a mess. That freaked out Momi cos she had to clean up after me. The record highest load of laundry was 3 loads on Wednesday when I wetted 2 beds and changed 5 pairs of underwear/shorts. Momi almost wanted to give up on me and even contemplated letting me run butt-naked in the house.
Oh boy! I miss my school and my classmates so much. In fact, when Momi brought me into the school this morning, I went directly to the Music Room to look for my pal – Shameer. I was upset when Shameer was not in school today. Momi asked me to look for Esher and Esher was not in too??? What happen??? Boh-bian lor, I had to play with Alex and 2 older boys from the PN1 class.
Momi has been sick since last night and she would be going off to see another doc to get medicine and rest at home. She would be picking me up in the evening and she had promised me yummy mini-croissants. Yums!!! I hope the rest would do her good cos she really didn’t get much rest over the past one week.

TEN vs TENT
Momi tried very hard to clarify the meaning of “TENT” by describing it to me, but I couldn’t quite understand her. Guess she would have to bring me to the beach to see people pitch tents and I would better understand it. Hee!!!

Me & My Buddy - Elmo
My buddy is Elmo and we like to play pretend. The things we do are actually mirroring what the adults are doing.
My Special Hat
This shot was taken on the sly by Dadi when Ramerez was playing by himself in the living room. What is that thing on his head?!
Mr Botak
Just finish my haircut. Yeh yeh. It is the botak cut again. What to do? This is the simplest hair cut for DIY job. Erhhhh... the ear a bit itchy leh. Got some hair stuck inside. Can help me please?
Yah, the very customer-service assistant promptly came up with a towel and cleaned my ear. See the shiok shiok look on my face. :p
Hee hee!!! Not so bad after all. At least my hair is short now and Momi and Dadi cannot complain of my stinky hair when I perspire leh.

Happy Fathers' Day!!!
To celebrate Fathers’ Day for Gong Gong, we went for a delicious mushroom hotpot at Kallang stadium on Sunday. The meal was fully paid for by DJJ, thanks so much!!! It was yummy and I polished off almost one bowl of rice by myself leh. Momi and Dadi were so impressed with me, but of course, I did waste a few grains here and there lah, along the journey from the bowl to my little mouth. I also finished off half a bowl of herbal soup, much to the surprise of Momi cos I would usually reject anything with funny-tasting Chinese herbs. Guess the amount of herds in the soup base was mild and it was delicious and sweet due to the amount of mushrooms added to the soup. Of course, I did not survive alone on rice and soup lah. I had a little minced chicken & mushroom, diced cod fish and carrot added to my rice. It was a very fulfilling experience for my tummy. It is a restaurant which I would definitely go back again.
Of course, I need to work off those calories after a heavy meal. There was a playground right outside the restaurant. Although the slide was wet due to an earlier drizzle, I had Momi wiped-dry the place so that I could slide.
After the playground, we made our way to the bridge behind the restaurant where we took a stroll and enjoyed some lovely sea breeze. The 2 lovebirds – XJJ and XJJJ gave me the best surprise by producing a kite to fly in the open field!!! Yeah!!! Haha!!! My XJJ so romantic ah!!! He always standby a kite in the car to bring XJJJ to romantic spots to fly kite. :p Although, it was my second time seeing people fly kite, it is the first time up close and personal for me, where I could actually tug the string and make the kite fall down instead of fly up. Yah, I was more of a hindrance then a help. Anyway, the string was soon plucked away from my little hands cos the adults were scared that I would cut myself. I had great fun jumping around in the field and trying to catch the kite, esp when it nose-dived. I would clap my hands and shout “Come down! Come down!!!”.

Your Cute MRT Tour Guide
See this track on the ground. It is to help the visually-handicap people find their way around in the MRT station. If u are lost in the station, just follow this track, ok? It will either lead u to the ground level or to the MRT train platform, depending on where u want to go.
Nah, let me demonstrate. U simply walk on the track. Simple as that.
If somebody stops u and ask u to pose for a picture (Just like in this case), just put on that mega-watt smile. Who knows? U may be talent-spotted for some colgate commercial.
If u need to use the lift, please remember to be considerate and hold the button for the needy and elderly ok. Graciousness is a virtue.
Dunno which station and which route to take? There's always the helpful directory around in the MRT platform. Just go and take a look and u can zip your way thr the NE, NS and EW lines in a breeze.
That's it, folks. I hope you have enjoyed your tour of the MRT station from your wonderful MRT captain - Ramerez. Have a good day!!!
