Three Precious Days of Bonding with Dadi Dearest

Ye Ye and Nai Nai went for a short holiday last week. Momi and Dadi took leave from work to spend time with me for the whole week. There were 3 precious days when Momi had to go attend course and Dadi took care of me.

Hee, Dadi is less fussy over the type of food that I eat and I basically ate what he had, which yummilicious (yummy & delicious) food (Momi's interpretation of such food as JUNK food). Dadi also brought me out to the library to browse at the children books and he even read to me! So sweet!!! Dadi also brought me out to jalan jalan and shop for new clothes. Dadi, thank you for spending those precious time with me. Muaks!!!

Momi, thank you for the opportunity to bond with Dadi and the yummy cheesecake. I of course got missed you during these days. That's why I was so sticky and clingy upon seeing you at the door mah! Miss you so much leh! : )

I want to be a Macho Man!!!

Nai Nai was carrying me on Sunday night when she pua dor (fell down). Ended up both of us had some abrasions. Nai Nai's left leg had 3 spots of abrasion and her palm also grazed against the rough concrete pavement. My right elbow also kena a bit abrasion but I was more taken aback by the fall than the wound. I was crying after Nai Nai fell down and it took quite a while to calm me down.

The wound is slowly drying up lah, but it still stings when I bathe. Anyway, I am a boy and Dadi says that I should not be pampered and fussed over like a useless "gu niang". Hey!!! I'm a tough guy!!! Next time I must serve National Service one leh. What is a mere little scratch on the elbow??? Anyway, I heard that girls like their guys to be macho with some scars. My Dadi also got some scars from his childhood days when he fought, rode bicycles, caught birds and spiders etc... Maybe his collection of scars impresses Momi so much that she decided to give him chance to date her then?! *Wink*

Yeah! I want to be a macho man like Dadi!!!

Helping Myself to Momi's Playmobil

Dadi was very sweet to Momi and bought her 3 playmobil motorcycles - One Policeman & his cool blue and white bike, a biker in his cool red racing bike and a jungle scout in his bright yellow rough terrain bike. Cool! Dadi has opened up the yellow bike to include it in his jungle adventure set. Momi is keeping the police bike and cross-country bike in their packages so that I could open them one fine day to play with them. That was so sweet of Momi!!! In the meantime, I just have to be contented playing with the bikes in their packages cos there are small parts in the toys and not suitable for me to play with yet. : )

Chilling Out With Dadi At Home

Momi caught Dadi and I chilling out together on the couch and watching TV. Dadi didn't look pleased cos Momi disturbed him. See that frown on his face?

Dadi was in a better mood now. See his smile? What about me? Yah, I got that sleepy sian-sian look... *Yawns*

Hee! Show you the happy face!!!

Wah wah wah!!! The great pretender working hard on those tear glands to squeeze out some tears.

Wah wah!!! Momi dun give me the toy!!! I cry for you to see!!! Wah wah wah!!!

See that ugly tear-streaked face? Such a crybaby you would say?

Zzzzz.... PLONK!!! WAH WAH WAH!!!!!...Zzzzzz...

17 May, 3.15am
Zzzzzzz..... Zzzzzz...... Roll, roll.... (Still groggy with sleep, decided to roll over Momi's legs)...roll (over the edge of the mattress and landed hard on the floor) *PAIN!!!* Wah wah wah!!!! I had landed hard on the floor and knocked the back of my head!!!

Momi jotted up from her sleep and quickly picked me up from the floor. I was inconsolable as I was taken by surprise with the hard knock. Momi was so terrified and she had to pat and rock me while rubbing my head. It took ten minutes to pacify me and I was still sniffling and whimpering... As the pain subsided, I went back to sleep again.

17 May, 7.45am
I woke up with little memory of my early morning fall. Momi told Nai Nai and Dadi about my fall. Nai Nai was to look out if I displayed any signs of grogginess or lethargy or nausea. Fortunately, it was a minor knock and I was ok during the day. ;)

Luckily I had fallen off the mattress and not the bed. It could have been worse. Momi and Dadi decided it would be best to let me sleep on a mattress on the floor when we are back at Sengkang over the weekend as they had caught me using my head to bump off the pillow from the bed and sleeping very close to the edge of the bed on two occasions. So dangerous *tsk tsk*

Fishing with my bare hands

Hey, folks. I am born with an instinctive ability to fish with my bare hands!!!! (Well, at least I think I can, although I have not really caught any yet. :p)

I went to Gong Gong's place on Polling Day and last Fri. On these 2 occasions, I put my hands into the fish tank to catch the fish. The first time, I stuck my hands into the water between the side of the tank and the light. I was having fun playing with the water and trying to get the fish to come to me. Momi saw me washing my hands in the tank and quickly plucked me away. She said my hands were stinky and put me in the shower since it was time for my evening bath. :p

On Fri, Gong Gong had pushed the light tube right to the side of the tank. I could not reach the water along the length of the tank. Hiak hiak... but nobody could stop this eager little fisherman. I moved to the breadth of the tank, found the space between the filter and the light tube and dunked my hands into the water again!!! Yipee!!! Was having fun terrorising the fish until Momi and Po Po found me up to mischief again and quickly plucked me away from the tank again. Shoots!!! Always spoil the fun... Sian! After these 2 attempts at fishing with my bare hands, they machiam like hawks with their eyes trained on me. Everytime I approached the tanks, they would go "No, No!!! Cannot touch!!!". If I raised my hands up a little bit, they would pounce on me in readiness to snatch me away from the tank.... Boo hoo hoo... so sad.... :(

What an Eventful Saturday

Last Saturday was an eventful day. First, I received my MMR jab on my left arm and it hurted so much that I wailed quite awhile. Dadi had to rock me and sayang me to pacify me. The nurse also recorded my weight and height. I am now 10.75kg and 79cm tall. Dadi and Momi were disappointed that my height did not gain much from the last measurement.

Anyway, I was sort of compensated by having MOS burger for lunch. I easily polished off a rice patty off Momi's kagiage rice burger. Yums! Adult food always tastes better than BB food. Or was it because Momi and I share share food, that's why it tasted better? Well, I can only confirm it if I share more of the adults' food lor.

After lunch, we did a bit of grocery shopping at Compasspoint again. Momi bought beef to make soup for me. It was the first time she's cooking beef for me. But I was very naughty in the afternoon. I only wanted Momi to rock me to sleep and I dun want Dadi. I kept going into the kitchen to disturb Momi who was making soup for my dinner. I was so naughty and I cried so hard that I threw up what I ate for afternoon tea - bird nest! Dadi was mad, really mad. He said good food was wasted on me and he told Momi not to give me bird nest in future. They are going to keep the good food for themselves!!! Selfish adults.

Anyway, after all the crying and throwing up, it was ultimately Momi's cuddles and a warm bath that calmed me down. I was so put off by Dadi that I clung on to Momi. Dadi said it was all Ye Ye, Nai Nai and Momi's fault for spoiling me.

Dadi, I love you but you don't understand why I am so sticky towards Momi. Maybe it is because I have been co-sleeping with Momi which is why I only wanted her to cuddle and pat me to orh-orh. U never sing songs or say rhymes to me during nap-time. U are always so task- oriented and u expect me to close my eyes and sleep at your command...but...but.... sometimes I just want to play a bit before orh-orh leh...

Da Chang Jin (Part 2)

The horror of all horrors!!! Last night when we went back to Nai Nai's house, Ye Ye and Nai Nai were watching the Da Chang Jin VCD!!! Nai Nai must have bought it over the weekend!!! Oh no!!! More of Da Chang Jin!!!

Remember I told you that my lullaby has became the Da Chang Jin theme song? Yeah, Notti Momi sang it to me on Saturday afternoon and night and I decided that enough was enough. I need not put up with the song anymore. I simply covered my ears to block out the song. Alas!!! It backfired cos Notti Momi found it funny and sang the song lagi more often, just to catch me covering my ears... So notti you, Momi. (Momi said "It was a bad move on your part, darling boy!)

Anyway, Momi also derived some fun out of the whole Da Chang Jin episode. She would leave her i magazine in front of me and asked me to look for "Hu Ta La, Hu Ta La" (extracted from the theme song lah). I would guai-guai flip to the page which featured the synopsis on Da Chang Jin and point to the picture of Da Chang Jin lor. I not stoopid, you know. I can understand what the adults are saying leh! U adults are the lousy ones cos you do not know what I am saying lor. That's why they say babies are the greatest pretenders and conspirators. We can be so angelic in front of outsiders and yet terrorises our folks 24/7 at home. Hiak hiak!!!

My First Visit to the Airport

Holding hands with Ye Ye and Nai Nai... so happy to walk along the long long corridor... Ermmm... but where are the aeroplanes and the crowd huh?!
Hee! Still quite well-behaved. Still holding hands...
Let go of the adults' hands liao. See my gleeful expression upon seeing the crowd? I'm ready to run amok at the huge airport liao. Let's go look for those aeroplanes!!! Whee!!!

Hey? Where are the aeroplanes huh? Let's go look for them...

Engrossed with the sights around me.
Squatting down to tap on the metal ground railings and to look down at the passengers in the transit hall... Awww... wish I am one of them, wish I could catch a ride in an aeroplane...

My Shining Shining Stars

Dadi is so nice. That day he decided to put up 2 night lights which Momi and Dadi bought from Ikea aeons ago (sometime in mid 2003 when they were hunting for home deco for the then new flat). They bought the 2 lights with the intention to deco the nursery and they had conveniently chucked it aside for 2 years plus... tsk tsk...) Anyway, Dadi was so sweet and put them up at the window grill cos he hated the idea of nailing anything on the wall. Momi and Dadi said these 2 stars are my personal shining guiding stars. Hee!

Here's how the stars look like in the dark. Everytime I go into the bedroom, I will point to the stars to indicate to Momi and Dadi that I want them to switch on the lights. Hee! Everytime they ask me "Where is the Star?", I will go into the room and point in that direction. :)

Yo! I'm a Big Boy Now!

Hihi!!! Momi bought me a blue Thomas-the-Train haversack for me. She also bought a similar one for Javier Di-di's first birthday. Momi says I am a big boy now and must do some work like help to carry my own stuff. Guess what she put in my new bag - a small pack of baby wipes and a pack of tissue. Well, taking these 2 little items out of the big bag that she always carries around, doesn't seem to lighten her load much... But hey!!! I'm just a small baby so I cannot carry too heavy stuff either. When I am bigger, then I can help carry my own water bottle and biscuits lor. Momi, you wait for me to grow taller and stronger, ok? Next time, I'll be strong enough to carry you too! : )

That's me trooping along the corridor, carrying my new and very first haversack. It sure beats the Eyore bag that Momi was originally considering. She picked the Thomas bag eventually cos it was bigger and the design would last me longer (less babyish). Eyore was simply too cute and I would outgrow it soon anyway.... I have the making of a good soldier yah? Left, right, left, right, forward march.... except that.... (Momi says: Look at his hands and legs coordination. It's right hand and right leg forward leh. Keke)

Yoh yoh! Check out this groovy hip hop move. Should have this captured on video record...

Hee hee! Handsome or not? I look like a big boy ready to go to school yah? My tee shirt says "Number One" leh! Keke!!!!

Tired leh. Dun care, sit down on the floor and catch my breath first.

Meet my old friend - Ronald McDonald

Hee hee! Here's my old buddy- Ronald McDonald. Usually he hangs around at his outlet at Kovan, but that day I met him at East Coast Park. Come, let me show you how I greet this old friend of mine.
"Hi, old buddy!!! How have you been? Fancy bumping into you here! Weather hot yeah?! But it is a good day with lotsa of hot babes on the beach yah?"
"Come come, how about a good hug yah?"

"Hey! Your complexion not so good huh?! Must be the hot sun. Your skin is peeling... let me help you...." (Scratch scratch on the face)....

"Yeah, why your nose kena a bit flatten huh?! Come, I help you re-shape it then you will be more handsome and can ba all the mei-meis here..." (pinch nose)

At the McDonald's Playground at ECP

After the stroll along the beach, Momi and Dadi brought me to McDonald's to wash my dirty hands. We stopped by the playground to play on the slide and the playhouse.

See Dadi and me playing tic-tac-toe in the playhouse? Hee, wish I have a playhouse this big at home.

That's me waving from the window. :)

Check out the slide at the playground! I am a big boy now and I can slide on my own liao. Whee!!!! :)

Taking a Stroll Along the Beach

After lunch, we parted our ways with Gong Gong, Po Po, DJJ, XJJ and XJJJ. Dadi and Momi decided to bring me to the beach for a walk walk. Momi knows that I love dogs and told me that I would see dog dog along the beach. Yeah! Yeah! Very true! I saw a few people bringing their dogs out for walk leh. I tried to approach one of the dogs but Dadi grabbed me quickly because there were many people cycling and rollerblading around. Dadi scared I go and run into people because I do not check my direction and blind spots one (well, what do you expect from a baby?)

I like the beach cos there are many people and dogs hanging around. I especially like the spaces for me to roam about and the cool breeze. Although I did not get to venture onto the sandy beaches (not wearing the appropriate shoes), Dadi did brought me near the beach for a good view of the sea, waves and boats.

The best part was the breeze picking up the dried leaves and blowing them all over the place. I had a good time chasing after them and squealing in delight. Momi worked hard to entertain me by kicking the leaves off the ground so that the breeze can pick them up. Hee! But after awhile, Momi quickly plucked me off the ground because she saw some nasty, big red ants. She was not going to let them leave any bites on me.

Gee Dee Up, Horsie!!! Gee Dee Up!!! Go faster leh!
See, my horsie is tired liao. Stop to pose for picture, but I am more interested in pulling his hair.
See how I'm enjoying myself? I like the breeze blowing in my face.

Momi's fave pictures. She said Dadi and I look very good in these candid shots. Maybe we should go to the beach more often?

Lunch at East Coast Park Tung Lok Seafood Gallery

The saturday just before Xiao Jiu Jiu flew back to Arizona, Momi fixed up a lunch gathering at the Tung Lok restaurant. Yums. It's the same place where I had my first birthday celebration. It was picked cos it served very yummy fried durian fritters, calamari and fried sole fish. Keke!!! Well, as usual, Dadi and Uncle Teck (aka Da Jiu Jiu) ordered my fave Char Siew Bao and egg tarts. But because I had eaten my yummy home-cooked porridge (with sweet potato, fish, egg and gou qi), my tummy had no room for those yummy dim sum liao. :p

Actually hor, beside having the makan for Xiao Jiu Jiu's farewell, Momi also wanted to see XJJ's friend - Xiao Jing Jie Jie. Notti Momi told me to call her Auntie Xiao Jing, but Po Po said cannot called a pretty and single lady - "auntie", must call "jie-jie". I anything oso can one, so long as everyone is happy and I get my hugs and kisses. : )

Xiao Jiu Jiu (XJJ) and Xiao Jing Jie-jie (XJJJ)?!.. .yeeh??? So coincidental! The initials I gave them very similar hor? Hoho!!! They look good in the photo, but not me cos I was getting restless from the confinement in the BB chair and I was struggling to wriggle off XJJ's lap to walk around and stretch my legs a bit.

Pictures taken with my 2 fave JJs. See how happy I was with DJJ cos he carried me to the serving counter to see some seashells and the live fishes and lobsters swimming in the tanks. Hee!

Look here, Cheeky Monkey!!!

Momi was tidying up the folders in her notebook and came across some photos of me which were never posted. She decided to do them into collages to upload in my blog. Do check it! :)

These shots were taken when I was 5 to 6 months. When I was 6 mths old, I had an aversion towards the camera's red blinking light. Everytime I saw it, I would squint my eyes to look like "Popeye", completed with a crooked smile. :)

Pictures from 2 mths to 8 mths old. See how my hairstyle changed over time? Facial expressions also grow more explicit and interesting yah?

Some ugly and boh-chap shots here. Show you the naughty side of me. I am called PI DAN for a good reason leh! :p
