Shedding my Baby Fats (Part 2)

See these more recent fotos. I'm not as chubby as before liao hor. Actually the fats started to go away once I started on porridge and reduced my milk intake. Heard that milk is fattening. Anyway, I think it is also because I am an active baby. All those walking and playing helps me burn my fats away.

See my pose here. Where got fat? Very trim and fit leh.

Giving that grumpy old man look because Dadi dumped me into the cot to get me out of the way. See, no more droopy chubby cheeks, but got sulky look....

Shedding My Baby Fats (Part 1)

Mommy is lamenting that I have shed my baby fats liao. She said my backside has shrunk in size and not as round as before. She said I have grown taller and my feet have triple in size...but backside is smaller by a size.... hoho!!!
Anyway, here are some of my earlier fotos. Check out those bulging BB fats!!!

Do I look like a Buddha Baby? See those folds?

See the spillover at my waist? Tummy very round hor?!

Look at those chubby little fingers and arms!!!

PI DAN VS Notti MOMI

The adults keep saying I am a naughty and cheeky boy, but they are also very naughty leh.

Take for instance, my Mommy. She is a Notti MOMI!!! She likes to tickle me and disturb me.
Last night, she tickled me in my ears again. Humph! She doesn't know who she is messing with man! I'm the Master of Endurance and Mischief, remember? No matter how she tickles me, I simply refused to laugh. I held back the laughters, tucked in my chin and tried to curl my body up. My laughters escaped from me in the form of an outbreak of goosebumps on my skin, esp the arms and thighs. Notti MOMI detected it and laughed her evil Donald Duck laugh (yah! She still has not quite recovered her voice).... So evil and notti hor... But I still held back my laughters leh. Good hor?!

FAN-tastic Moves!!!

I love TV advertisements because they have such catchy commercial jingles. To name a few of my favourites in no order of preference - McDonald's Rice Burger, HL Banana-flavoured milk, Channel U Superband, Channel U Campus Superstar MV, Channel U Theme by JJ, MTouche...
Whenever I sees these ads, I will bob up and down in excitment. Heehee!!! Recently, I have started to move my feet a little. Mommy plans to teach me to shake my bon-bon soon. Dadi has started to take videos of me doing my little dances. Mommy will upload them soon and then you can tell me if I dance well ok?

Oh! By the way, did I tell you that I started to shake my head couple of weeks back? Anyway, there was this time when Mommy imitated the McDonald FAN-tastic ad and asked me "Hey! Ci Fan Le Mah? (Hey, eaten rice yet?)". I gave her a cheeky grin and shook my head very hard. She was so tickled and did a voice-over of "Hai Mei You! Hai Mei You! (Not yet! Not yet!)". So, nowadays, she would find every opportunity to ask me this question because she wants to see me shake my head. Haha!!! Ok lah, I do try to oblige her to make her happy lor. She is my Mommy mah and I love her a lot. :)

I also love the weather forecasts in all the news from "ang mo" channel 5 and CNA and the "deng nan" channel 8 and U. Everytime I hear the music for the weather forecast, I will stop whatever I'm doing and fix my eyes on the TV screen. Hee! Everytime the adults shout "Kan Xin Wen leh!!! (Watch the news!!!)", I will automatically turn towards the TV screen. Hee! So clever right? Maybe I could be a news broadcaster?

Yeah! Xiao Jiu Jiu is coming home!!!

Mommy told me that Xiao Jiu Jiu is coming home next Sun. Mommy said he bought me some clothes leh. Yeah!!! The last time I saw Xiao Jiu Jiu was a year ago when I was a wee baby. Can't really remember his face, but I am sure he is another handsome young man like Uncle Teck. This time must remember to take pictures with him and upload into my blog. Hee!

According to Mommy, Xiao Jiu Jiu is in Arizona, USA. That place is a desert area and the weather is very harsh. Maybe Xiao Jiu Jiu can share more stories and pictures with me when he comes back? So exciting, I can hardly wait!!! (Mommy says she is very excited and looking forward to seeing Xiao Jiu Jiu too.)

Bedtime Play With Mummy

Every night after my milk, Mommy would spend some time playing and singing with me before I go to bed. Sometimes, Dadi would also join us in the play, but only when there are no interesting programs from the goggle box. :p

There is always something new and fun for us. For instance, Mommy and I started playing this "scratching game" over the last few nights. I would scratch the pillow cover and mattress cover to make this irritating sound and Mommy would retaliate by scratching my butt and thigh and fake this scratchy sound with her mouth. That never fails to tickle me and we would just go scratch, scratch, scratch, scratch...usually until Mommy could not tahan. Keke!!! When it comes to a test of endurance, I think I fare better than her. Keke!!!

Last night, I started jumping on the mattress by holding onto Mommy for support. Mommy would say "Jump" and I would happily oblige her. It was fun cos I am jumping on a springy mattress. Mommy would train her eyes on my feet to see if I was really jumping with my heels off the mattress. Well, sorry to disappoint her. My heels were off but my toes were still quite stuck on the di-nam. But then, I certainly was jumping instead of the just bobbing up and down which Mommy calls "dancing".

We also had our routine of tickling before bedtime. I decided to be naughty and tickled Mommy's ears. She laughed and started to tickle me in my ears too. How I regret it!!! It was so so ticklish!!! More ticklish than on the tummy and under the arms... Hee hee!!!

Well, I was really naughty last night. After all these play, I decided that I wanted to bang on the wall. Yes, I did it and ended up disturbing Ye Ye and Nai Nai next door, who reacted by banging on the wall too... No need to guess, we ended up taking turns to bang on the wall until Mommy could not tahan and said we could be disturbing the neighbours. Only then did I guai guai go to bed.

Sweet dreams.

Most Adorable Baby Contest

I want to thank all the Uncles, Aunties, Gor-Gors and Jie-Jies for taking time to go to the Wyeth website to vote for me. Thank you for finding me cute. *MUAKS*

Anyway, Mommy just went in and saw that my photo will advance to earlier pages if I get more votes, so you will not always find my photo on a specific page each time. Like today, I advance to page 18 liao. So stress.... Anyway, Mommy saw the votes of those kids on the first page. They each have thousands of votes. Mommy realised that there are no ways I could achieve that kind of stats cos the contest would be ending soon in end Mar.....

So, let's not get to caught up in this rat race. With the current votes that I have, I dun think I would qualify for even a consolation gift. Awwww... ... Yah, Mommy was disappointed cos she was kinda hoping that I could win a year's supply of formulae or something like that. Oh well, what to do?

Anyway, thanks for voting for me. : )

Showing Off at Gong Gong's Place

Mommy brought me over to Gong Gong's place on Sunday evening. Gong Gong was cooking Western food for dinner but did not include my share. Hmmmph!

Since I had not seen Gong Gong and Po Po for 3 weeks, I decided that it would be a good opportunity to impress them with my walking. Very show off and very hao lian hor? But then, you must see the joy on their faces and the pride in their praises! Well, everyone loves me... afterall, I am the firstborn grandchild... keke!!!

First person whom I impressed was Uncle Teck. He was waiting in the car when he saw me trotting towards the car. Hee hee! He cartainly was impressed because he quickly came out and held my little hand as he saw me walking towards the edge of the pavement. :)

When we arrived at Gong Gong's place, I quickly got to my mission of showing off to Gong Gong and Po Po who were busy preparing food in the kitchen. Hee, the food was forgotten for a while as the adults crowded around me to see me walk on my own. Hee! I do feel a sense of achievement. : )

Oh, I must mention that there is a doggie in the neighbour's house. I would have gone up to pull its ears if Mommy didn't stop me in time. Mommy gave strict instructions with Uncle Teck not to let me get anywhere close to the doggie... Maybe the doggie was trying to be friendly after a while cos it decided to greet me with a bark... but it startled me instead as it had never ever bark at me... So scared that Mommy had to console me as I kept signing to her that I was "pa pa" and I was tearing at the same time. Such a cry baby hor? Hee! Paiseh Paiseh lah!

Photos taken during CNY

Mommy realised that she had some photos taken during CNY that were not posted yet. Check them out!

That's me dressed in an ethnic yellow suit bought by Po Po. It was big, so Mommy had to roll up the pants. But nevermind, cos I can wear it again next CNY. :)

This is me and Uncle Teck.
Handsome young man right? Very eligible and very available leh.... Interested single, young ladies can apply for a date through this blog. : )

Check out this playground!

As I mentioned earlier, gai-gai is one of the ways Mommy and Dadi reward me for walking on my own. After the scrumptious breakfast in the morning, Mommy and Dadi decided to bring me to this never-been-explored food court in some ulu cluster (also in Sengkang again lah...). Haha!!!

Once we hit that place, it was makan time for me again. Although I had my porridge earlier, Mommy knew that I would beg for food again and ordered sliced fish Ee-Mian soup so that we could share share. Yums! First time eating Ee-Mian. My verdict- Shiok ah! I like it!!! Of course, Dadi also gave me a bit of his rice to mix with the fish soup. Yums yums!!!

After makan, Dadi and Mommy brought me to this huge playground located under the LRT tracks. This is the first time I actually see the LRT cabins moving so fast on the tracks, so I was quite fascinated and kept raising my head up to catch the passing LRT cabins. (Actually I took the LRT rides before lah, but I was too young to remember... Maybe next weekend Mommy can bring me for the ride? *pleading Bambi eyes filled with stars*)

This gai-gai had its purpose ok... Like that saying about no free lunch? This is no free gai-gai ok?! On and off, Mommy and Dadi would plopped me onto the ground and ask me to walk towards them. Grass patches, concrete pavement, pebblewashed slab, metal sewage cover... name it and I had threaded on them before. Keke!

At the playground, there were giant balls in multi colours leh So exciting!!! I walked up to one of the blue balls, petted it and started to walk around it. But then, it was too big and heavy cos it wouldn't budge when I pushed it...(Mommy said: Those are concrete spheres painted in a myriad of colours for aesthetic purpose).

There were also some motorised cars and bicycles for rental at the playground. Dadi said I could ride them when I am older. Yipee! Can't wait!!!

Special Breakfast Treat on Saturday

Mommy and Dadi are very thrilled that I am walking unassisted nowadays. Of course, they are also having a headache as I am very "chong hei" and sometimes walks too fast. But then again, walking on my own has its merits. First thing first, I get myself a nice pair of sandels cos Mommy wants me to walk as much and as far as possible. Second thing, there are a lot of gai-gai nowadays. : )

Mommy and Dadi are such bummers when we are usually back in Sengkang for the weekends. The farthest we have ever ventured is Compasspoint and Gong Gong's place in Hougang. No beaches or parks for me (except for the playground and the outdoor gym corner downstairs at my block...tsk tsk...) Surprisingly, this Sat were a tad different from the usual... Keke!!!

Sat morning at 8.30am, I woke Dadi up by plastering my little hands all over his face (Mommy was sleeping in another room because of her frequent night coughs). Next, I wriggled my butt off the bed and crawled to the bedroom door which Mommy was sleeping in and banged on the door. It worked. I managed to wake up Mrs Piggy. : ) Soon, we were on our way to... sigh...Compasspoint again.

Dadi wanted to do his banking business, but unfortunately the bank opened only at 10.30am. Since we have an hour, Mommy and Dadi decided to eat breakfast at Swenson's! Yums! As we waited for the food, I began to get restless. Since I could walk now, Mommy took me out for a walk and I got to sit in the Bananas-In-Pyjamas kiddy car. I was very stylo ok! Stood up and drove the car leh ( Cheapo Mommy didn't put in any coins lah. She said $1 for the ride was expensive...tsk tsk...)

Mommy saw our breakfasts being served and brought me into Swenson's again. Although I had my milk and a slice of wholemeal bread nestling in my tummy, I simply couldn't resist the yummy pancakes (loaded with ham strips and lightly flavoured with maple syrup) and the scrambled eggs off Mommy's platter. Of course, I had my share of hashbrowns too. Yums! So satisfied.

Of course, as usual, once I have a full tummy, I started to turn my charms on the nice and pretty jie-jies working in the restaurant lah. But hey! How come no balloons this time huh?! (Waste my mega-watt smiles liao...)

Walking on my own

Two weeks back, Mommy already tricked me into walking on my own, unassisted by giving me a water bottle to hold. In this case, my two hands were kept busy and I didn't get to hold on anything for support. Hee! I was able to take 3 to 5 wobbly steps on my own.

Last night, Mommy pulled out my tu-tu (pacifier) and dangled it in front of me, machiam dangling a carrot in front of a bunny. This is her trick to get me to walk a little. Well, it worked cos I walked from Nai Nai's bedroom to the living room cos I wanted my tu-tu badly. Guess how many steps I took? Probably 20-30 steps, unassisted. Yeah! An impressive achievement for me yah!

*applause*

Young Acrobat

Ah??? U want to see me perform stunts ah?

Hee! I show you how fast I can touch my left toes with my left hand and my right toes with my right hand at the same time, ok?

U didn't see that. Lousy lah. I do it one more time. U must focus ok?

Nah! One more time!

U didn't see that? Lousy lah. Never focus.... keke!!! That's all I can perform for the time being. Learning to turn somersaults with Mommy's help. Will show you another day. Ta Ta!!!

Kiss Kiss Kiss Kiss Kiss...

Nowadays, I like to play the kissing game with Nai Nai, Mommy and Dadi. The adults are so happy to receive wet, sloppery kisses from me. I am also very happy to plant the kisses on them. Dadi would purse his lips and say "Kiss Daddy" and I will obediently smooch him on the lips. This one Mommy taught one. But now, because she is down with flu, I can only smooch her on the cheeks.

This morning, Mommy requested for a quick peck on the cheek. I was very sweet and obliged her with a kissy which she punctuated with a sound "Muak". Finding it funny, I gave her another kiss and she "muaked" again. I found it so funny that I couldn't stop kissing Mommy on the cheeks and she would keep "muaking" after each kiss. Haha!!! Tonite we will play this game again. *MUAK MUAK*

Signing

As Mommy had lost her voice, we spent much of the time "communicating" by signing to each other. However, we quickly realised that we are both "half buckets of water" when it comes to signing and we are also from different schools of signing. Being the older one who has eaten more salt, Mommy could understand most of my signs...but but... I didn't know what she was signing to me most of the time over the last weekend. Keke! Mommy also bo-bian when I ignored her. See, that's the problem when Mommy never learnt the proper signs and start teaching me from young. Heard that some babies were taught this from a tender age and they communicate well with their parents. Maybe she can try proper signing with my Di-Di or Mei-Mei?

Mommy, the Donald Duck

Mommy is sick. She came down with a fever and throat infection on Wed evening, but did not see the doctor. She woke up on Sat morning and found that she had lost her voice as she pigged out the last night at Auntie Diana's wedding banquet (Yah, she did not bring me along :p). She got desperate and quickly went to see the doctor.

Mommy was such a poor thing. Kena scolding by Dadi for not taking care of herself. Some more, Dadi went ahead with his plan to meet up with the Uncles and left Mommy and me in the house. Mommy thought she could manage me, but soon realised it was difficult as she could not talk to me. Hee hee! I took the opportunity to act blur and defy her instructions. Actually, nothing wrong also lah! Afterall, Mommy sounded like Donald Duck. Most of the time, I couldn't make out what she wants to tell me mah. But then, Mommy sounded so comical with that husky, incoherent voice that I laughed everytime she tried to speak. Her "Excuse Me" became "Ah-Cue-Me". Hoho!!!

I almost drove her mad on Sat that she sms-ed Dadi at around 9.30pm to remind him to come back soon.

Anyway, Mommy quietly sneaked out of the house this morning to report earlier for work. She needs to reschedule her morning interview as her voice is still husky. Shucks! No good bye kiss from her leh. Sneaked out when I was still sound asleep.

Lazy Bum Bum

Nowadays, I keep hearing the adults nag and nag about my preferrence for crawling over walking, about my timidness and laziness, and my fear of falling la...blah blah... Tsk tsk... no worries, folks. I will walk on my own when I am ready. There's no rush right?! Anyway, I overheard Mommy talking about putting me to a leash once I start walking and running around. Spare me please! Think I would start walking soon so that you can put the leash thingy on me? Oh please!!! I no stupid ok *wink*

Xi!! Nu!! Ai!! Le!!

Show you some cute cute candid shots of me. They were taken in Oct last year when Dadi took my first digital photo to apply for passport through the APPLES (din know apples can do passport too... scratch head...)
Mommy only upload now cos she thought they would fit into the Xi Nu Ai Le (Happy, Angry, Sad, Joyful) series. Keke!!! Check it out.
This is the happy, jovial (Xi) look!
This is the angry (Nu) look!!! Hmmp!!!

These 2 are the sad, forlorn (Ai) bian-zui look...

This the ultimate gleeful, joyful (Le) look. Keke!!!

Whistling Away...

Hee! Dadi caught these few shots of me with my lips pursed together. So funny-looking, machiam whistling away right? Actually, I don't know how to whistle yet, but I certainly know how to blow bubbles with my saliva. Keke!!!

Congrats, Mommy! For getting that coveted Driving License!

Mommy was so happy when she came back. She finally get her hands on that long coveted driving license. Hee! She said that was her best birthday gift and that it was all thanks to Guan Yin Ma's Bo Bi. Hee! Now she can extort a car from Dadi and I will get driven around.

Happy Birthday, Mommy!!!

Today is Mommy's birthday. Yes, she is a San Ba (38), born on the 8 of March. Hee! Everyone remembers her birthday cos she is such a 38. Then again, 8 March is also the International Women's Day. Hee! Po Po certainly knows how to pick the dates to give birth. Uncle Teck's birthday is on 1 Oct, which is Children's Day. Hee hee!!!

Happy Birthday, Mommy. Lots of Love and Kisses from me. :)

Playing the Er'hu

Hihi! Remember I told you that my Ye Ye and Nai Nai go for Er'hu lessons at the CC? Hee! I get entertained every night when they practise their er'hu. Nai Nai plays better than Ye Ye... less screechy...

Nowadays, I also get my hands on the er'hu. See how I mess around with it? Nai Nai said the bow is made from the horse tail and cannot tug to hard cos they break easily. :) Hee! I can make a lot of noise just pulling the bow across the strings on the er'hu. Mommy said I can learn the instrument if I am older and provided I am still interested lor.

Lady Killer (Part 2)

Being a baby certainly has its perks. The female creatures will come up, coo and make funny faces to you. Of course, I wouldn't mind if they are pretty and nice lah. Keke!!! Actually I am quite ok with the aunties and po pos too. Like the Mama shop auntie downstairs. She is quite funny too. Everytime she sees me, she will whip out her bottle of soap and blow bubbles for me. So funny... but then, there are also so "weird" aunties who made ugly faces that are not funny and commented that I was "gon gon" and no response one. Humph!!!

Other than the 3 key women in my life (Mommy, Nai Nai and Po Po) who simply cannot resist my charms, I have also managed to charm some of Mommy's friends and other relatives. Check out those pictures below. Keke!!!

Four women and an adorable babe!

Mommy couldn't say no if I want a ride on the shoulders.

Me and the birthday girl - Auntie Xiaowen!

Auntie Ling from Indonesia

Lady Killer (Part 1)

I am a social creature and I love to make friends. So far, my regular playmate is Lisa Jie Jie. Occasionally, I get to meet YiYing Jie Jie too.

Photos taken at Lisa Jie Jie's house during CNY. Everytime I go there, I will play with her Winnie the Pooh Bouncer. She has gotten "sian" with it liao. She only gets interested in it when I play with it. Must share share toys then fun mah!!! Keke!!!

Mommy has decided that she is not going to send me to any play programs until I can walk on my own. Shoots! Like that how to make more friends leh?!

Anyway, I prefer to make friends with girls. Mommy and Dadi brought me out to buy groceries last night. Hee! I saw this really cute babe jie jie. She was probably a year older than me.I tried to strike a conversation with my Baby talk but she "ma-jiam" didn't understand leh. Boh-bian!!! She graduated from baby talk, but I haven't leh. Anyway, I must have terrorised her cos she didn't want to play with me leh. Mommy said if I continue to terrorise the girls, I will end up with no girlfriends liao.... Hey! I thought the ladies love me!!! :9

Me and Mr Raymond Scissorshands

My hair is long again. Gong Gong and Ye Ye had been nagging about it. Raymond Scissorhands decided it is time to show off his incredible skills again. If u are wondering who is this infamous Raymond Scissorhands, let me tell you --- he is my Dadi lah!!!

He took care of my last two haircuts when I was 4 months and 11 months old. The full month haircut was minor as Mommy only snipped off a little bit of hair from my nape. Those 2 hair jobs that Dadi undertook were major ones. Check out the botak haircut when I was 4 months old.
Sweet angel sleeping soundly, not knowing what is to come...

Awakened by the humming of the electric shaver... Checking out his barber...

Nothing exciting, back to sleep again...
Mommy doing the final QC to check the botak haircut.

No pictures for the last haircut cos Dadi was busy snipping away while Mommy was playing clown to distract me. :)

Me and My "Tang Poems"

Haha!!! Mommy says I must know my Tang Poems (Tang Shi) and got me a little book on them. She was quite on initially and read to me about some moonlight shining on the floor and snow on the ground...whatever. Nowadays, she is too busy and simply throws me the books to keep me occupied. See me reading in the below pictures taken when I was around 10 months old. I can't really read but I like the "ang gong" inside. Keke!!!

So studious right?

Announcement! Another Baby Girl!!!

Hear Ye! Mommy's friend - Auntie Joey gave birth to a Baby Girl 2 weeks back. It is BB Shyanne!!! Auntie Joey said she looks like her Daddy, Uncle Sam. No pictures to show you yet. Mommy will take pictures and post them after we visit them. Hee? Girlfren No. 3???
